Holiday box questions

When is the last day to order beef for Christmas delivery?

Our last frozen shipment before Christmas leaves Tuesday, December 15. Online orders placed by Thursday noon Mountain time ship the following Tuesday, so order by Thursday, December 10 for the December 15 truck. Bulk orders of 10 or more should be in by December 1.

Can boxes arrive for New Year's?

Yes. Boxes that ship Monday, December 21 or Monday, December 28 are timed to arrive for New Year's. We don't promise a December 21 shipment for Christmas.

How do bulk and corporate gift orders work?

Order 10 or more boxes and you take 10% off every box, with free shipping on each one. Mix any of the twelve boxes, send each to its own address, and we add a personal note card in every box. Download the bulk order form, fill in one row per person, and email it to info@sranchmeats.com. We confirm every address and send one invoice before anything ships.

How does the beef ship, and where do you ship?

Every box ships frozen, packed in an insulated liner with dry ice, to addresses in the lower 48 states. Online orders ship free over $175 to Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Oregon and over $249 everywhere else in the lower 48. Bulk orders ship free on every box.

Where does S Ranch beef come from?

Every box is 100% Black Angus, born, raised and finished on our fourth-generation family ranch in Montana (the S Ranch, est. 1948). Grass-fed, grain-finished, with no hormones administered. We dry-age and hand-cut it in our own USDA-inspected plant in Hardin, Montana, so we control every step from pasture to package.

Which holiday box makes the best gift?

For a long list, the Montana Beef Sampler Box gives everyone steak, ground beef and carne picada. For the steak lover, the Montana Dry-Aged Steak Gift Box brings T-bones, ribeyes and New Yorks. For Christmas dinner, the Montana Prime Rib Christmas Dinner Box brings a boneless 4 to 6 lb prime rib roast that serves about five, and the Prime Rib & Brisket Holiday Feast Box covers the whole holiday.

Can I add a gift message to an online order?

Yes. Add your message in the gift note box in the cart and we'll include it with the box.

How long does frozen beef keep, and how do I thaw it?

Our beef is vacuum-sealed and frozen the day it's cut, so it keeps in the freezer for months. Every box includes a Thawing & Handling card. Thaw in the refrigerator, never on the counter; steaks take about a day, roasts and brisket longer.
