Packaging and Shipping Process
All S Ranch Meats beef is processed at our local, USDA-inspected facility in Hardin, Montana. Receiving a USDA Federal Grant of Inspection was of primary importance to our mission: producing flavorful, high-quality beef while meeting or exceeding the highest food safety standards. In 2021, we proudly achieved this goal by being awarded a Federal Grant of Inspection from the USDA.
After processing, our beef is professionally vacuum-sealed in high-quality packaging to ensure a fresh product for up to a year in your freezer. When you place an online order, we prepare your products for shipment in premium insulated boxes packed with dry ice to ensure all beef products stay frozen or below 40°F throughout the delivery process.
Shipping and Delivery Fulfillment
S Ranch Beef can be shipped directly to your doorstep across all continental states in the U.S. We ship individual items, custom boxes, and pre-selected bundles.
Frozen for Freshness: All shipped beef is frozen and packed in dry ice.
Safe Arrival: Products arrive frozen or partially frozen. They are safe for thawing or refreezing as long as the internal temperature remains below 40°F.
Shipping Rates & Free Shipping
We are proud to offer tiered shipping rates to make ranch-direct beef more accessible to our neighbors and friends across the country.
Mountain West Neighbor Rate: We offer FREE COLD-CHAIN SHIPPING on all orders over $175 for customers in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Utah. For orders under $175 in these states, a flat-rate shipping fee of $25 applies.
National Shipping: For all other continental U.S. states, we offer FREE SHIPPING on orders over $249. For orders under $249, flat-rate shipping is applied based on order value to help cover the cost of express frozen transit.
Shipping Schedule (Tuesday Shipping)
To ensure your beef arrives fresh and frozen before the weekend, we ship every Tuesday.
Order Deadline: Orders must be placed before 12:00 p.m. MST on Thursday to ship the following Tuesday.
Late Orders: Any order placed after Thursday at noon will ship the following week.
Delivery Time: Your package will typically arrive in 1–3 business days once shipped, depending on your location.
Delivery Restrictions & Rural Routes
No P.O. Boxes: We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, A.P.O., or F.P.O. addresses.
Rural Montana Pride: We gladly ship to rural routes because we know what it’s like to live out in the boonies! Please provide a complete address and a contact phone number for these deliveries.
Shipping Accuracy
Please check your shipping address carefully! Due to the perishable nature of our products, S Ranch Meats does not offer refunds if an address error is made during the ordering process. Once an order leaves our facility and you receive a shipping confirmation notice, S Ranch Meats is no longer responsible for delivery delays caused by the carrier.
